TOPIC- QUESTION OF DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY FOR RAYMOND DAVIS

RANA SANA ULLAH OF PML (N) said that Raymond Davis neither provided any license of weapon he used to kill two people nor the documents of diplomatic immunity up to now. He said that investigation have been conducted in very professional and responsible way. He said that preliminary investigations prove Raymond Davis guilty of the crime. He said that Raymond Davis killed two innocent Pakistani people cold blooded. He said that American embassy is unable to provide any diplomatic documents of immunity so far. He said that Fozia Wahab statement that Raymond Davis has diplomatic immunity is mischievous. He said that federal government wants to release Raymond Davis from day one. He said that if now Raymond Davis presents any documents of immunity they will be fabricated. He wondered that why PPP under the leadership of Zardari is unable to do things in an orderly manner. He lamented that American embassy is not ready to produce hit and run driver and his vehicle who killed a young man at the spot. He said that Raymond Davis crime is so heinous that he took pictures of the deceased after killing them.
HUMAYON AKHTER KHAN OF PML (Q) said that thousands of Americans like Raymond Davis are bustling on Pakistani streets every day. He said our government only says few words of condemnation after drone attacks for face saving. He bemoaned that federal government has not clarify the status of Raymond Davis so far. He said that suppose Raymond Davis has diplomatic immunity but why hit and run driver is hiding in the American embassy. He said every body in Pakistan is afraid to take any decision on Raymond Davis because he is American. He said that many Americans have been apprehended in the past with the possession of illegal weapons and fake number plates of their cars but were freed next day with out any charge. He said that people of Pakistan already do not trust their politicians and this incident will further increase the trust deficit.
ASMA ARBAB ALAMGIR OF PPPP said that Pakistan Peoples party will never compromise the lives of the citizens for the sake of dollars. She said that Raymond Davis case is in the court and no body should pass any comments on it. She said that it is not the government of Pervez Musharaf who handed over Pakistani citizens to America. She said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Qamar Zaman Kaira are left out to have a smaller cabinet and not under American pressure. She said that President and Prime Minister of Pakistan will take decision on Raymond Davis case in the best interest of the country.
