SHEIKH RASHEED AHMED OF AML said that the concept of a democratic welfare state is to provide security and employment to its citizens. He said that people are talking about military rule instead of democracy. He said that the economy of the country is in abyss and Pakistan is heading towards a fail state. He said that in his opinion elections should be held after four years. He said that political parties are already lining up for new elections. He said that the ten points of PML (N) is in fact the agenda of IMF. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is afraid that things might go in the hands of military again. He said that the four provinces of Pakistan instead of embracing or cuddling each other are ready to cut each other throat. He said that it is so unfortunate that military is being called to control the chaotic situation of the country by the people of Pakistan. He said that elected members of the assembly are also asking for military action. He said that if the bad shape of the economy is not retrieved India will take over Pakistan’s markets. He said that country is heading towards anarchy and mothers are afraid to send their children to school of their own. He said that the law and order situation in the country is so bad that two people in his constituency are kidnapped from their homes for ransom. Commenting on the statement of Altaf Hussain on revolution Sheikh Rasheed said that he will prefer the revolution of Tunisia in Pakistan instead of France. He said that we need to go through and scrutinize our system to revise it. He said that corruption is so rampant that all major institutions are about to collapse. He said that five teams of economists in the past have been failed to show any progress and now government is trying a new team. He said that FRIENDS OF PAKISTAN instead of providing any financial support gave us a big zero. He said that no country is ready to invest in Pakistan. He said that the decision to appoint Latif Khosa as the governor of Punjab was made in the life of Salman Taseer.
KHWAJA SAAD RAFIQ OF PML (N) said that Altaf Hussain calls himself the champion of democracy but he is inviting military for the solutions of the problems of the country. He said that PML (N) opposes the use of military against miscreants any where in the country including Karachi. He said that political leaders should show some maturity and raise their stature from student leadership level. He indirectly attacked on MQM by saying that Karachi should be freed from BHATTA KHORS. He said that we should not be pessimistic but be optimistic. He said that there are so many positive things happen in the recent past. He said that restoration and freedom of judiciary and independence of media are the positive gestures of the democratic government. Commenting on the statement of Altaf Hussain that revolution like France is knocking on the doors of Pakistan he said that it is so easy to talk about the revolution of France but it is so difficult to deal with it. He said that if revolution comes it will drift away every thing including Altaf Hussain and his party MQM. He criticized the idea of calling military in Punjab or Karachi to control miscreants. He said that some people want military to take over every province of Pakistan to control chaos then why not Islamabad should also be given in the control of military. He said that it is time for politicians to be serious and show some resolve with honesty in the best interest of the country. He said that if the demand to accept ten point agenda is not met PML (N) will throw out Peoples Party from Punjab government. He said that federal government must show some seriousness and eagerness to consider ten point agenda otherwise PML (N) will demand re-elections in the country.
AMEER MUQAM KHAN OF PML (Q) said that his party demands to call military to take action against miscreants in Karachi.
Marvi for early release of Hindu spiritual leader
PML MNA Marvi Memon has demanded immediate recovery of Hindu spiritual leader Maharaja Lukmi Gurji and other kidnapped members of Hindu community.
“The government instead of backing kidnappers should curb the incidents of kidnapping for ransom and target killings which have earned a bead bad name for country”, she urged she expressed these views wile addressing a press conference in Arya Samaj Mandir here on Sunday. PML provincial General Secretary Arbab Hashim Kasi, Member of Provincial Assembly Engineer Basant Lal Gulshan and Dr Anand Kumbar Batai were also present on the occasion.
Marvi Memon said that providing security to minorities was their legal and Islamic responsibility as Islam and the Constitution of the country has given complete rights to minorities. “We have condemned the kidnapping of members of minority on the floor of the National Assembly,” she said, adding that the kidnapping of members of the Hindu community for ransom was started from Kashmore area of Sindh which was still continued.
The PML MAN said that incidents of kidnapping of people of Hindu community had risen manifolds as compared to past which was aimed at to force them to migrate to other countries. She also expressed her serious concern over the incidents of target killings and demanded for their elimination.
Criticizing government, she said that government should stop alleged backing of kidnappers forthwith and ensure the security of all citizens including minorities. “It is also the responsibility of tribal chefs and Sardars to ensure the security of Hindu community and expedite their efforts fro the early release of Hindu spiritual leader and other members”, she added.
She said that mounting incidents of kidnapping for ransom and target killing had harmed the writ of government and augmented the miseries of common people.
She demanded that government should utilize all its available resources for the early release of Maharaja Lukmi Chand Gurji and other kidnapped members of Hindu community because such incident were earning a very bad name for the country in the world.
On the occasion, PML Balochistan’s General Secretary Arbab Hashim Kasi said that they were completely aware about the miseries of Hindu community. He said that government has lost its writ as not only minorities rather every citizen in the province was feeling insecurity. He said that safety of minorities was the prime duty of the government but it was miserably failed to fulfill its responsibility.
Provincial minister Engineer Basant Lal Gulshan said that devotees of Maharaja Lukmi Chand Gurji in Pakistan and India were in a state of shock owing to his kidnapping. He said that it is the responsibility of Kalat administration that it should expedite its efforts ensure the early and safe recovery of Maharaja and other Hindus. On the occasion, Dr. Anand Kumar Batia apprised PML MNA Marvi Memon about eh unending incidents of kidnapping of members of Hindu community for ransom.
He said that Maharaja Lkmi Chand Gurji was kidnapped from Kalat some 35 days ago. Upon which Marvi Memon assured Hindu community of complete support of PML and added that she would always raise voice for the rights of minorities.

People in govt know who’s behind target killings, abductions: Marvi

QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s (PML-Q) MNA Marvi Memon has said that the people in the government know who is involved in targeted killings and incidents of kidnapping-for-ransom.
She was talking to newsmen at the Hindu temple in Quetta on Sunday after holding a meeting with the representatives of the Hindu community. Provincial Minister Basant Lal Ghulshan was also present on the occasion. “Kidnapping-for-ransom has become a lucrative business in Balochistan where such incidents are increasing as compared to other provinces,” Marvi told reporters. She said that the federal and provincial government and tribal elders should play their role for the safe and immediate recovery of Hindu spiritual leader Lakshmi Chand Garji, who is also the Mahraj of historic Kali Mandir of Kalat.
Marvi said she had observed that the increasing incidents of abductions were forcing Hindus to migrate to safer places. Balochistan is a tribal province hence part of the responsibility of restoring the confidence of the Hindu community lies on the shoulders of the tribal elders and they should play their role in this regard.
“I have a firm belief that people in the government know who is involved in targeted killings and incidents of kidnapping-for-ransom,” she said, adding, “Instead of patronising the criminals, the government should launch a massive crackdown against them.”
Responding to a query, Marvi said that she will also raise the issue of the missing people in the National Assembly and at other forums.
Ghulshan said that the abduction of the Hindu spiritual leader has shaken the entire community. “The incident sent a shock wave among the Hindus in the province. District administration and police should ensure the immediate recovery of the 82-year-old Hindu spiritual leader,” he added.
